We’re basically furniture artist with a background in "lets just try it"chemical science, a stubborn streak for miles and a few mad crazy ideas. At SomeDaysi, we treat all projects, refinished, refreshed, or the latest questionable idea, as a fun experiment. We love testing different materials and letting the final coat of paint, dye, or stain surprise us. Taking a piece of furniture from "meh" to "OMG, Love It" is our favorite way to spark creativity. We believe art can have a daily living purpose too—it should be holding your coffee cup, storing your socks, or inspiring you to organize something.

So, here’s the truth: This turned into a hobby business because we literally ran out of space (and the eyerolls from the spouses were getting outta hand). Our love for art, furniture, and all 'the things" has a solid foundation of watching the other people in our family be just as creative and inspiring us with a just do it. Several years of doing what we love became the solid scheme SomeDaysi. What started as an occasional hobby,  turned into a passion project that needed some turnover, mostly because we wanted to save every piece of furniture we found and a house only has so many rooms!

Functional vs. Boring. We've found that anything and everything can be a SomeDaysi project. Hidden potential doesn't just happen; we discover it.... sometimes more than once. In the dull, dusty pieces with a splash of color or a unique detail. We repurpose and refinish for the sheer joy or frustration of it, seriously not all projects get the result you hope for... but as with anything, you've got keep going and hoping you’ll fall in love with the result.

So don't wait for the perfect time. If you ever catch yourself saying, “Someday I’ll do this,” or “Someday I’ll learn that,” take this as your sign to just start. Make a mess. Pivot when it fails. And have fun with the everyday things.
